TREECYCLING

Why waste good wood?

We turn fallen trees that would otherwise go to the landfill into valuable lumber to be used in our shop and the shops of other area woodworkers.

We also save homeowners hundreds of dollars in labor by taking away the heaviest part of their fallen tree for free.

We don't cut down standing trees, that's a job for a trained, licensed and insured arborist. Once the tree is down on the ground, we'll come and salvage the lumber contained in the main stem, the largest, heaviest and most expensive part of the tree to remove.

Depending on the site, we may set up the sawmill on location or we may take the logs home on a trailer. Either way, we'll carry away thousands of pounds of "debris" for nothing.

Of course, not every tree is a candidate for treecycling. Some trees are diseased or have too many branches on them to make good lumber. We also won't take any trees that have metal objects in them.

Please call us at 901-619-8567 or email us if you have a tree that you want to treecycle.

110 year old Eastern Red Cedar
Couple of nice logs out of a 90 year old White Oak
Butt log of the County Champion Cherry
Some nice chunks of Black Walnut
The tree company quoted this homowner $2000 to remove this fallen Walnut. We sawed it on site in 2 hours and went home with a little over 600 bdft of good lumber. I think he ended up paying a neighborhood yard man $100 bucks to clean up the limbs we left behind.
